- Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
- Strong experience of working within an Early Years setting, ideally including leadership or management responsibility
- A secure knowledge and understanding of the EYFS statutory framework
- The ability to lead, support and develop a team effectively
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young children
- High expectations for children’s learning, development and behaviour
- The ability to plan high-quality provision that responds to children’s interests, needs and next steps
- Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to working positively with parents, carers and other professionals
- A nurturing, enthusiastic and reflective approach, with a genuine passion for Early Years education
