We have an exciting vacancy for a 3-year ECVN Neurology Residency Programme commencing in August 2025. The ECVN-approved residency programme in neurology and neurosurgery includes training in neuroanatomy, clinical neurology, neurosurgery, neuropharmacology and neuropathology, amongst others.
Successful candidates will join a growing team including 5 neurology Diplomates and 1 2nd-year neurology resident, working in collaboration with our dedicated neurology nursing team. The role will include supporting out-of-hours responsibilities at weekends, weeknights and bank holidays. Teaching and clinical research are provided and strongly supported by our team of highly recognised neurologists.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant neurology experience
- A completed rotating internship
- Preferably, a completed Neurology-specific internship at a referral hospital.
- General practice experience is desirable.
Our hospital facilities include a dedicated ICU staffed 24 hours a day, spacious wards with walk-in kennels, in-house 1.5T Siemens Magnetom Essenza MRI, 16 slice Siemens Somatom Emotion helical CT, digital radiography, digital fluoroscopy, a brand new Neurogen neurodiagnostic system (for nerve conduction studies, electromyography, evoked potentials, electro retinography and electroencephalography), a Samsung RS85 ultrasound system and Arthrex / Karl Storz Laparoscopic/thoracoscopic and arthroscopic imaging systems.
We encourage an evidence-based multi-disciplinary approach, supporting a process of continuous learning and a collegiate atmosphere. We have an active internship programme and are expanding our residency programmes, with current residents in post in Surgery, Internal Medicine and Oncology. Our extensive clinical caseload provides an interesting variety of cases and supports ongoing clinical research that is actively encouraged and supported.
