This role sits within the Product Governance Team. The Oversight and Assurance analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring Wealthtime’s compliance with regulatory requirements by supporting Wealthtime’s first line of defence responsibilities. You will be instrumental in supporting the first-line function, helping to document and enforce compliance across the Business. The role involves acting as a key member within the department to ensure our products and services deliver good outcomes to our customers and advisers.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory and Governance: Ensure our customers receive good outcomes by taking a data led approach to reviewing MI and working with internal stakeholders to identify areas for improvement. Support fund and Discretionary Fund Manager governance through onboarding reviews, fair value assessments across the distribution chain, and distributor feedback analysis, ensuring alignment with target market considerations. Assist with oversight of ad-hoc projects to ensure all regulatory expectations are considered. Ensure Fair Value is delivered across the distribution chain, acting where appropriate. Assisting in our requirements to regularly review our products to ensure they are delivering the expected outcomes. Assisting in our requirements to evidence we are delivering Fair Value to our clients.
- Process Monitoring and Analysis: Assess outcomes across the distribution chain, escalating any instances of poor performance or non-compliance. Review findings of Customer Journey reviews, assisting with outputs and prioritisation of findings. Manage and deliver findings from assessments, including customer notifications where necessary.
- MI Analysis and Reporting: Strengthen our root cause analysis capability by identifying key insights and embedding process improvements into business as usual activities, driving continuous improvement in product governance. Analyse MI to monitor compliance with internal and regulatory requirements among Business partners. Conduct oversight reviews and quality assurance (QA) of outcomes delivered, ensuring consistency and high standards. Manage and deliver findings from assessments, including customer notifications where necessary.
- Collaborations and Communication: Serve pro-actively as a consumer advocate within the Business, ensuring customer-centric decision-making. Collaborate with compliance functions to maintain consistency in compliance messaging. As this is a new role, additional responsibilities may be assigned as the role evolves and becomes increasingly established.
About You
Specialist Skills, Qualifications and Experience: An interest in developing a career in financial regulation and working knowledge of Consumer Duty. Data analysis skills with the ability to identify trends and insights from complex data sets. Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Tools. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Desirable: Flexibility and strong prioritisation skills, allowing you to adapt to changing Business needs. Background in investments and/or DFMs, with involvement in oversight, onboarding or distributor-related activities.
