The Data and Analytics team is playing an important role in Wealthify’s growth ambitions as it moves from start-up to scale-up.
We want to transform the way we communicate with our customers, gain a deeper understanding of their relationship with us including their digital journeys and we want to design new products and propositions that support them. We want to provide insight to the business that enables them to make the right strategic decisions.
What your job will be:
You’ll lead on building and managing a set of Power BI reports that support decision making across a range of areas including Product, Operations, Trading and Digital. This means creating and managing the data models that feed the report, working with stakeholders to understand their requirements, and designing and developing easy-to-use dashboards, whilst ensuring they are performant.
Our data is in good shape. But you’ll support on a programme of work that brings all our data into one place, meaning less time is spent by analysts on data transformation and we can move more quickly from idea to insight. It’s a great chance to gain experience in the latest cutting edge lakehouse technology and would suit someone looking to develop their experience in Data Engineering under the guidance of the Senior Data Engineer.
You will establish best practices for report design and development, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement and maintain best practice.
We’re a small team so you’ll need to be hands-on and prepared to get involved in a wide range of activities.
What we’re looking for:

We don’t need you to tick all these boxes (in fact we’d encourage you to apply even if you don’t!), but this gives you an idea of what we are looking for:
- 2+ years as a Data Engineer or Power BI developer, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Modelling Techniques, including Kimball star schema and medallion architecture
- Experience in the Microsoft BI Stack:
- SSRS / Paginated Reports
- SQL including T-SQL, views, stored procedures & indexing
- ETL and Data Ingestion (e.g., Microsoft Flow/Power Automate, Azure Data Factory, SSIS)
- Knowledge and experience working with databases, including optimising storage and query performance
- The ability to assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
- Experience working with data from external sources (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook etc.)
- High level of verbal, written and presentation skills
