Our client, a leading global investment firm with a strong track record in event-driven and fundamental investing, is seeking a highly analytical and motivated Investment Analyst to join its London-based investment team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth fundamental research and analysis on publicly listed companies across a range of sectors and geographies.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models, including valuation, scenario, and downside analyses.
  • Support the evaluation of investment opportunities within event-driven and long/short equity strategies.
  • Monitor corporate events such as mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, spin-offs, and other catalysts.
  • Prepare investment presentations and written recommendations for senior investment professionals.
  • Track portfolio positions and assist with ongoing monitoring of existing investments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in Investment Banking (M&A, Leveraged Finance, or Industry Groups), and/or 1–2 years of buy-side experience within a fundamental investment strategy (e.g., Long/Short Equity, Event-Driven, or Special Situations).
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in public markets and fundamental investing.
