Would you like to use your knowledge and experience of property and estates management in a rural setting, where you will be a key member of the Assets & FM team?
Wealden is a large and predominantly rural area situated in East Sussex stretching from the coastal areas of the Seven Sisters and Pevensey Bay in the south, and inland to Crowborough and the Ashdown Forest. The Council has a diverse property portfolio of Local Authority assets. These include operational property assets, leisure centres, retail and industrial investments, commercial and historic properties.
We are seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced Asset Manager, to ensure that the Council’s property assets are efficiently managed to maximise income and ensure that public and community needs are met.
What will you be doing?
You will be one of the team’s property specialists advising other staff, Directors, and Members on best estate management practice. Travelling around the district, you will carry out property inspections, acquisitions & disposals, lease renewals, rent reviews, while managing external consultants, valuations, and day to day estate management business.
What do you need?
You will be well organised, highly motivated and work with minimal supervision. You will also have extensive knowledge and experience of property and estates management. In addition, you will have good IT skills and can effectively communicate with Directors and Elected Members, as well as with occupiers and stakeholders. Candidates must have membership of the RICS with experience of estate management. Local Authority experience is desirable.
