Who?

We are looking for a Housing Support Officer to provide administrative support to the Housing Development Team and Housing Policy & Partnerships Team temporarily until the 8 December 2026. The Housing Development Team is responsible for facilitating and delivering affordable housing in the district. The Housing Policy & Partnership Team covers tenant involvement, Refugee Resettlement, housing strategies, policies and much more.

What will you be doing?

  • Providing administrative support to both Teams.
  • To process invoices and payments to creditors.
  • Liaise with internal & external stakeholders to support the delivery of affordable housing and Refugee Resettlement Programme.
  • Liaise with our residents, suppliers, utility companies and contractors.
  • Arranging meetings and taking notes.
  • Arranging promotional events.

What do you need?

  • Previous experience of working as an administrator.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to confidently deal with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Previous experience of working within Local Government is desirable, but not essential.
