The Development Management Team are responsible for the Council's role as local planning authority, specifically that in relation to planning applications, enforcement and related matters. This role is to provide specialist surface water, sustainable drainage and flood risk advice in relation to those matters, and influence, promote and provide technical input to the achievement of sustainable development through the management of surface water and other forms of flooding and to drive reductions in flood risk and improvements in the natural environment for existing and new communities.
What skills, knowledge and abilities do you require for the role?
- Experience in the application of surface water, sustainable drainage and flood risk knowledge within a development management context i.e. statutory planning and development control processes in a Local Planning Authority.
