Job Summary

Are you looking to keep our site safe and running smoothly? We are looking for a responsible, reliable and proactive person to join our caretaking team in the provision of a comprehensive caretaking service at our Council Offices in Hailsham. A full clean driving licence is essential.

What will the role involve?

  • Your main duties will involve opening the building, reporting faults, monitoring essential services, assisting with deliveries to the offices, and monitoring/set-up of the Civic Community Hall.
  • You will play an active part in dealing with emergency services, health and safety and security procedures.
  • Previous experience of caretaking, security or similar work is essential and you should be fit to undertake the duties of the role.
  • You will also need to be contactable via telephone to provide cover.
  • You will be required to work early mornings and/or late evenings to cover the rotas over a 6 day period (Mon‑Sat).
