Are you passionate about helping people in need and making a difference in your community? We are looking for an experienced Benefits & Council Tax Reduction Review Officer to join our team.
Responsibilities
- You will take ownership of the HBAA full case reviews, and ensure we meet all targets set by the DWP for case reviews.
- Visiting customers in their homes to help collect information needed for HBAA reviews, fraud referrals and other reviews as required.
- Liaise with voluntary organisations, other services of the Council or other organisations, to ensure customers receive a comprehensive service, sound advice and are supported to make informed choices.
- Undertaking other reviews to identify changes in circumstances and to report these for amendment to Revenues and Benefits officers.
Qualifications
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of benefits legislation and guidance, as well as strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- A positive and proactive attitude, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service and continuous improvement.
- Experience of dealing with customers and/or members of the public and handling personal or sensitive information.
- A full UK driving licence.
