WE Talent are delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing and well-established business operating within the construction and renewable energy sector, who are looking to welcome a Sales Estimator into their team. This role would suit someone who enjoys a detail-driven, methodical position, where estimating is the core focus but with the added benefit of owning client relationships and seeing projects through from enquiry to quotation and repeat work. This is not a cold sales role. It’s a structured, estimating-led position where accuracy, coordination and communication are key.
The Role
- As Sales Estimator, you’ll play a key part in reviewing incoming enquiries, analysing technical information and producing accurate, timely estimates and quotations.
- Alongside this, you’ll manage a defined portfolio of customer accounts, acting as a consistent and reliable point of contact.
- The role is predominantly office-based, with 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home.
Working hours:
- Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–5:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am–3:00pm (early finish)
Key Responsibilities
- Estimating & Enquiries
- Managing incoming enquiries via phone, email and advertising platforms
- Reviewing enquiry documentation, spreadsheets and technical drawings
- Preparing, updating and revising estimates and quotations
- Producing competitive tenders, proposals and formal quotations
- Researching site locations and project-specific factors to support pricing
- Managing a portfolio of key customer accounts
- Acting as the main point of contact for pricing and quotation queries
- Supporting repeat and follow-on business
- Managing new customers once enquiries are received and qualified
- Building strong, professional working relationships
- Liaising closely with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery
- Updating and maintaining CRM records (HubSpot)
- Sourcing, reviewing and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotes
- Proactively identifying new suppliers and negotiating competitive rates
- Working collaboratively with sales, design, operations and management
- Occasional UK travel to visit customers and attend industry events
- Periodic travel to the company’s UK HQ for meetings and collaboration
- Site visits as part of the induction process to gain hands-on understanding
- Completion of relevant health & safety training
About You
- Previous experience producing quotations, estimates or pricing (essential)
- Construction industry experience beneficial
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident managing multiple enquiries and priorities
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and cloud-based systems
- Comfortable working with CRM systems (HubSpot desirable)
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
- Willing to travel as required
