WE Talent are supporting the recruitment of an Education Professional Standards Manager on behalf of a respected professional regulatory organisation. This is a varied and influential role combining leadership, professional standards, stakeholder engagement and programme development. Reporting into senior leadership and managing a small team, you will oversee professional standards and compliance activities while driving the growth, accessibility and visibility of education and qualification pathways across the sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and self-motivated individual who enjoys developing new initiatives, building relationships and identifying opportunities to increase engagement and participation.
In this role, you will:
- Lead, support and develop a team responsible for compliance and case management activities
- Review and sign off casework, providing guidance, oversight and quality assurance across the team
- Manage escalated queries, concerns and complex cases, ensuring fair, consistent and compliant outcomes
- Support the delivery and ongoing development of qualification, licensing and professional standards frameworks
- Develop strategies to increase awareness, accessibility and uptake of professional qualifications and learning pathways
- Build and maintain strong relationships with training providers, employers, education partners and other key stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to expand learning provision and support the development of new initiatives and routes into the profession
- Monitor performance, engagement and application data, using insights to drive continuous improvement
- Review and enhance operational processes, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery
- Represent the organisation at industry events, meetings and conferences
- Deputise for senior leadership when required
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience within professional standards, education, regulation, membership, accreditation or a similar environment
- Proven people management experience, including oversight of operational or case-based work
- Experience reviewing, assessing or quality assuring complex casework, applications or compliance-related activities
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and operate with a high degree of autonomy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- High levels of organisation, attention to detail and professional judgement
Desirable
- Experience within a professional body, regulator, awarding organisation or membership organisation
- Experience managing qualification frameworks, professional standards programmes or learning pathways
- Knowledge of apprenticeships, accredited training programmes or professional education
- Experience working with training providers, education partners or awarding bodies
- Degree-level education or relevant professional qualification
