About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in their daily learning and development. This is a hands-on role where you will provide practical and emotional support, helping students engage in lessons, activities, and the wider school environment.
You’ll work closely with teachers and support staff to create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning space.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils on a one-to-one or small-group basis in line with individual learning plans
- Assist teachers in delivering structured, engaging, and differentiated lessons
- Encourage communication, independence, and positive learning behaviours
- Support pupils with emotional regulation, daily routines, and engagement
- Provide personal care support where required (training provided)
- Prepare resources and maintain an organised classroom
- Record observations and provide feedback on pupil progress
- Support pupils during transitions, breaktimes, and school activities
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
