About the Role
We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support students in their daily learning and personal development. You will help students engage in lessons, activities, and the wider school environment, making a real difference to their experience at school. You’ll work closely with teachers and support staff to create a calm, positive, and inclusive learning space.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students on a one-to-one or small-group basis in line with their individual learning plans
- Help teachers deliver engaging and adaptable lessons
- Encourage communication, independence, and positive learning habits
- Support students with daily routines, emotional regulation, and participation in activities
- Provide personal care support when required (training provided)
- Prepare resources and help keep classrooms organised
- Observe and give feedback on student progress
- Support transitions, breaktimes, and school activities
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
