About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in their daily learning and development. This is a hands-on role where you will provide practical and emotional support, helping students engage in lessons, activities, and the wider school environment. You’ll work closely with teachers and support staff to create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils on a one-to-one or small-group basis in line with individual learning plans
  • Assist teachers in delivering structured, engaging, and differentiated lessons
  • Encourage communication, independence, and positive learning behaviours
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, daily routines, and engagement
  • Provide personal care support where required (training provided)
  • Prepare resources and maintain an organised classroom
  • Record observations and provide feedback on pupil progress
  • Support pupils during transitions, breaktimes, and school activities
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
