Location: Enfield (Nearest train station: Ponders End)

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Hours: 42.5 hours per week Monday–Friday between 06:00–18:00 Occasional Saturdays: 06:00–14:00

About Our client is an award-winning, international designer and manufacturer of premium quartz and porcelain surfaces for the commercial and residential interiors sector. We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Operative to join our hardworking and dedicated team at our Distribution Centre in Enfield.

Role Overview

This is a hands-on, physically active role supporting the distribution of our premium quartz and porcelain countertops across the UK. The position involves general warehouse duties, stock management, and assisting with deliveries and order preparation in a fast-paced environment. This role is physically demanding and requires a high level of fitness — you can expect to walk approximately 20,000 steps per day, alongside lifting and repetitive movements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with unloading containers and trailers using heavily assisted forklift equipment.
  • Prepare outgoing orders accurately using pick lists.
  • Complete company documentation and processes for deliveries and stock movements.
  • Move and organise stock within the warehouse.
  • Identify, evaluate, and report damaged stock.
  • Assist with stock takes and general warehouse duties.
  • Act as a spotter when guiding materials safely through the warehouse.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.

Systems & Stock Control

  • Report slab movements in the finished goods warehouse using a mobile terminal (receiving, allocation, moving, issuing).
  • Operate handheld scanning devices.
  • Ensure accurate stock recording and allocation.

Samples Department Support (When Required)

  • Respond to sample requests via HubSpot in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and package samples securely for safe distribution.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the samples area.
  • Assist with loading/unloading (post-probation forklift training provided if required).

Additional Duties

  • Assist with ad hoc customer deliveries when required.
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety at all times.

Requirements

  • Valid UK Driving Licence (essential).
  • Valid Forklift Licence (essential).
  • Physically fit and comfortable with lifting and repetitive movement.
  • Proficient in reading and writing.
  • Computer literate and confident using handheld scanning devices.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Ability to work proactively during busy and quieter periods.
