Qualifications and Experience Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject
- Experience teaching across key stages, ideally including GCSE and A-Level
- Strong subject knowledge and commitment to continuous professional development
- Ability to engage and challenge all learners, including SEN, high-ability, and EAL students
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics across KS3, GCSE, and A-Level and monitor student progress and attainment
- Adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners and make curriculum content relevant and engaging
- Deliver timely feedback, set homework, and run booster or enrichment sessions
- Support curriculum planning and develop the extra-curricular offering for Maths
- Promote reading in Maths and encourage students to take Maths at GCSE and A-Level
- Embed SMSC, PSHE, diversity, and inclusion strategies in your teaching
- Serve as a form tutor, fostering strong relationships with students and parents
- Maintain a safe, structured, and stimulating learning environment
- Participate in school life including supervisory duties, lunch duties, and enrichment activities
