- Ability to deliver lessons that engage, challenge, and support all learners, including SEN, high-ability, and EAL students
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English across KS3, GCSE, and A-Level, ensuring progress and attainment for every student
- Adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Deliver timely feedback, set homework, and run booster or enrichment sessions
- Contribute to curriculum planning and extra-curricular development
- Promote reading, English as a subject choice, and embed SMSC, PSHE, diversity, and inclusion
- Serve as a form tutor, building positive relationships with students and parents
- Maintain a safe, stimulating, and structured learning environment
- Participate in school life, including supervisory duties, lunch duties, and enrichment activities
