Shift Pattern: Day / Night / Rotational shifts (including weekends and on-call)

We are looking for a reliable and professional Class 2 Recovery Driver to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for attending breakdowns, accidents, and vehicle recovery requests, safely transporting vehicles using specialist recovery equipment. Excellent customer service skills and a calm, professional attitude are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend roadside breakdowns and accident scenes to recover vehicles safely.
  • Operate Class 2 recovery vehicles including slide beds, spec lifts, or heavy recovery trucks.
  • Load, secure, and transport vehicles in accordance with company procedures and road safety regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to members of the public, breakdown customers, and insurance clients.
  • Complete job reports, paperwork, and digital logs accurately.
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance of recovery equipment.
  • Liaise with control rooms, police, and emergency services when required.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
  • Driver CPC qualification
  • Digital tachograph card
  • Previous experience in vehicle recovery, towing, or roadside assistance preferred
  • Good knowledge of road safety and recovery procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure and in challenging roadside environments
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Flexible with working hours, including nights and weekends
Desirable Skills:
  • Previous vehicle recovery operator certification
  • Mechanical knowledge of cars and light commercial vehicles
  • Experience using slide bed or spec lift recovery equipment
