The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key part in supporting pupils both academically and emotionally. This is a hands-on, rewarding role where no two days are the same.
You will:
- Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups in line with individual learning plans
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
- Encourage independence, communication, and positive behaviour
- Support emotional regulation and sensory needs
- Provide personal care where required (full training provided)
- Help maintain an organised and structured classroom environment
- Record observations and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Support pupils during transitions, breaktimes, and wider school activities
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
