Role Purpose
The Accountant role will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, preparing accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, and supporting audits and reporting for Group Companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, assist, and examine financial statements, tax returns, and accounting records.
- Ensure financial documents are accurate and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Support internal and external audits with timely and accurate submissions.
- Maintain the general ledger and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements and transactions for Group Companies.
- Maintain records of assets, liabilities, and capital.
- Manage general accounting activities for four holding entities with limited transaction types.
- Prepare invoice listings and related documentation for quarterly VAT returns.
- Perform quarterly valuation processes in SAP for Group Companies.
- Process and file company credit card transactions with supporting receipts.
- Prepare monthly Real Estate reports requested by the Treasury Department.
- Coordinate specific reporting requirements with the Treasury Department.
- Coordinate the monthly payroll process with third-party service providers.
Key Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of accounting experience in corporate, public, or group company environments.
- Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP; experience with invoice portals and automated systems is a plus.
- Solid analytical and problem‐solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial data.
- Familiarity with tax laws and compliance regulations.
- ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or AAT certification is an advantage.
- Turkish language skill would be an advantage.
