About We Seal
We Seal is a successful, family-owned manufacturing business specialising in innovative bag sealing solutions for customers across the UK and internationally.
We’re looking for an organised, proactive Stock Controller with experience in engineering stores or stock control to join our team in Yeadon, Leeds.
This varied, hands‑on role involves managing engineering components, maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring our machinery workshop has the right parts available at the right time. You’ll also support our wider warehouse operations.
What you’ll be doing
- Receiving and inspecting engineering components, checking quantities, part numbers and quality.
- Maintaining accurate stock records using our MRP/ERP system.
- Monitoring stock levels, ordering parts and ensuring timely replenishment to support machine manufacturing.
- Picking, preparing and dispatching parts for machine assembly, customer spare parts orders and service engineers.
- Liaising with suppliers to resolve delivery issues, incorrect parts and quality concerns.
- Investigating stock discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
- Managing components sent to external suppliers for additional processing, such as coating.
- Maintaining accurate records of engineering drawings and component specifications.
- Keeping the machinery workshop stores organised, tidy and efficient.
- Supporting tape warehouse operations for approximately 20% of your working time, including goods receipt, dispatch, stock counts and general warehouse activities. Additional cover may be needed during holidays or other absences.
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in an engineering environment, ideally machinery assembly or manufacturing.
- Experience in a busy engineering stores, stock control or similar environment.
- A good understanding of engineering components, materials and stock management processes.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive, flexible and positive approach.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- A reach and/or counterbalance forklift truck licence.
- The ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
