Role: Senior Health & Safety/ CDM Consultant

Location: Remote working projects across the region

Salary: Up to £55,000 - £60,000 + £6,000 car allowance + excellent benefits package

The business forms part of a wider group of companies and has invested heavily in its Health & Safety and CDM service offering over recent years. As a result, the team has grown significantly and developed an excellent reputation across the sector, securing repeat business and appointments on a number of key frameworks.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Health & Safety/ CDM Consultant to join their established safety team and support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of property and construction projects across the region. The business works across a broad range of sectors, including residential, public sector, healthcare, education and commercial projects, supporting clients in meeting their Health & Safety and CDM 2015 obligations.

This role would suit an experienced Health & Safety or CDM professional who has worked within a consultancy, main contractor or construction-focused environment, and is confident liaising with clients, principal contractors, designers and wider project teams.

The Role

  • Delivering CDM 2015 consultancy services across a portfolio of construction projects.
  • Supporting clients, principal contractors, designers and project teams with CDM compliance.
  • Preparing, reviewing and updating key CDM documentation, including Pre-Construction Information, Construction Phase Plans and Health & Safety Files.
  • Reviewing RAMS and other project safety documentation.
  • Liaising with clients, architects, principal contractors and wider stakeholders on Health & Safety and CDM matters.
  • Carrying out site inspections, audits and safety reviews.
  • Supporting accident and incident investigations where required.
  • Providing practical advice around construction health and safety, risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships while supporting the continued growth of the service.

About You

The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of CDM 2015 and experience delivering Health & Safety or CDM services within the construction sector. You will need to be confident working with a range of stakeholders, able to provide clear and practical advice, and comfortable managing your own workload across multiple projects.

Requirements

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate/ NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
  • Strong working knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations.
  • Previous experience in a Health & Safety, CDM Consultant, Principal Designer or construction safety role.
  • Experience reviewing CDM documentation, RAMS, Construction Phase Plans, Pre-Construction Information and Health & Safety Files.
  • Confident carrying out site inspections, audits and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with clients, contractors and project teams.
  • Membership of IOSH, APS, IIRSM or a similar professional body would be beneficial.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Full UK driving licence.
