Location:Billericay, Essex (4 days per week in the office) Sector: Building Consultancy Salary: Up to £35,000 (DOE) + attractive benefits package WRG are supporting an independent building consultancy who are looking to appoint an Bid Writer to their project management team, based from our clients offices in Billericay, Essex. The business focuses primarily on the education and healthcare sectors and have been appointed on several long term frameworks with various school and hospital trusts. Our client has been established for 5 years and have very ambitious plans for the future and growth of the overall organisation. The role would suit someone who has an interest in the property & construction sector and who is looking to take the next step in their career and join a dynamic and collaborative team of professionals. Full training and support will be provided for the role, it is more about the persons attitude and willingness to learn and develop in this new role. Key Responsibilities: Write and edit persuasive, high-quality bid responses for a variety of education and healthcare sector opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams to gather information, ensuring bid content is relevant, accurate, and aligned with client requirements. Develop a clear understanding of the clients needs and translate these into a comprehensive, compelling proposal. Review and analyse tender documents to identify key requirements and ensure all criteria are met. Create and manage bid response timelines, ensuring all submissions are completed on time and to a high standard. Maintain and update a library of bid templates, case studies, and other supporting materials to streamline the bid writing process. Work with the project management team to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with all contractual requirements. Track and report on bid outcomes, providing feedback for continuous improvement. Assist with developing marketing materials, presentations, and other documents as required. Qualifications & Experience: Experience as a Bid Writer, Proposal Writer, or in a similar role (desirable but not essential) Strong written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive content. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills. A good understanding of the bid process and procurement practices. Experience in property & construction sector would be advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). A degree or professional qualification in English, Business, Marketing, or a related field is desirable but not essential. Apply: Salary up to £35,000 (dependent on experience). 22 days Annual Leave, with Christmas shutdown (holiday allowance increases with time served).
