WRG is supporting one of the UKs leading property & construction consultancies that has been established for almost 80 years. They are looking to add an experienced H&S/ CDM professional to their ever expanding team out of the Winchester office. The safety, risk and compliance department is made up of 30 strong professionals and is one of the leading teams across the business, they have developed a culture of support and collaboration and are now looking to add an ambitious safety consultant to the mix.
The portfolio of projects is vast and diverse, working on flagship schemes in the region and an enviable client list. They support housing associations, universities, motorsport, retail, leisure, industrial, commercial and various other sectors. The Winchester office has some key projects with Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth and HMS Victory, BAE Defence, Fire cladding schemes, Clarion Housing Association, and NHS Trusts.
The role would suit a construction H&S professional from either a consultancy or contractor background who feels that their progress is currently stalled. Our client has a history of excellent career progression with many of the team being promoted to more senior positions within a year of service.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver various H&S services to ensure H&S and CDM compliance on construction projects.
- Ensure that pre-construction information is readily available for each project and is kept up to date.
- Preparation of health and safety files and construction phase plans where required.
- Carry out site inspections and ensure that RAMS are in place and updated on a regular basis.
- Further build and develop existing client relationships and develop new ones.
- Liaise with various stakeholders (architects, contractors, developers, designers, client) and keep them informed of changes regarding safety.
- The role would also offer the opportunity to develop your understanding of the Principal Designer role with support and training from a team of experts.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not required).
- Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar professional body (desirable).
- Excellent understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations.
- Good understanding of BSA and the changes affecting the industry (desirable).
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Full UK driving license.
