As they continue to grow and expand, they are looking for a Document Controller/ Administrator to join the H&S/ CDM team in shaping the future of construction safety in design. Their Health & Safety/ CDM team plays a vital role in supporting clients throughout the lifecycle of their projects, ensuring statutory compliance, risk management, and best practice are embedded at every stage. They pride themselves on offering clear, pragmatic solutions and building long-term relationships based on trust, professionalism, and technical expertise.

As a Document Controller/ Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the Health & Safety and CDM team by managing documentation, maintaining systems, and ensuring information is accurate, compliant, and accessible. The team would expect this role to eventually evolve into a Trainee H&S Consultant position within the business, with the team offering support and guidance to develop your knowledge and expertise within this area of construction safety.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing, controlling, and issuing Health & Safety and CDM documentation.
  • Maintaining document registers, trackers, and version control systems.
  • Uploading and managing documents on client portals and internal systems.
  • Assisting with the preparation of pre-construction information (PCI), construction phase plans (CPP), and H&S files.
  • Ensuring documents are correctly formatted, quality checked, and issued in line with procedures.
  • Supporting the team with general administrative duties including meeting coordination and correspondence.
  • Liaising with internal colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders to request and distribute documentation.
  • Maintaining records in line with data protection and company policies.
  • Supporting continuous improvement of document control processes.

About You

  • Has previous experience in an administrative or document control role (construction, architect practice, consultancy, or H&S/CDM experience desirable but not essential).
  • Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Is confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Is comfortable working with digital document management systems and online portals.
  • Can manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Has strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Is proactive, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
