Role: Regional Health & Safety Manager
Location: Middlesborough, North East
Salary: £50,000 - £57,000 + company car or car allowance (£6,000) + annual bonus

WRG is supporting one of our long standing clients with their ambitious growth plans for the future. The business is looking to appoint an experienced and competent safety professional to oversee their housing projects across the North East of England based from their Middlesborough office.
Our client pride themselves in the value and quality of their homes and have developed an excellent reputation within the sector for over 100 years. They are now looking to build on this legacy and bring on board a Regional H&S Manager to ensure safety on their sites. The role would suit an experienced H&S Advisor or Manager who is familiar with working on new build residential projects on multiple sites and would now like to take the next step in their career and join a dynamic team of construction professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake continuous reviews and monitor the effectiveness of the H&S policy.
- Offer a variety of health & safety/ CDM compliance services for the various sites.
- Familiar with all associated documentation relating to CDM 2015 e.g Construction Phase Plans.
- Liaise with various stakeholders on projects: client, designers, architects, local authority, HSE etc. and keep them updated in relation to H&S matters.
- Attend site meetings and keep site team updated in relation to H&S matters and concerns.
- Carry out risk assessments and ensure method statements are in place for each project.
- Carry out site inspections and accident investigations when required.
- Record near misses and ensure that training is carried out.
- Ensure quality procedures and processes to support ISO certification.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Construction or equivalent.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
- Member to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or a similar professional body.
- Excellent understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations and H&S legislation.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience of implementing H&S policies and management systems.
- Previous experience of working on new build residential projects.
- Full UK Driving license.
