WRG has a truly brilliant opportunity for a young and ambitious H&S professional who would like to join an independent construction and engineering consultancy. The business offers a range of professional services to their clients across the built environment, with a strong work stream within the H&S/ CDM department. They would like to appoint an additional H&S/ CDM Consultant to the team.
The successful candidate will join a close-knit team of safety consultants, with a huge emphasis on training and development. The senior leadership team is there to support you every step of the way and ensure you are successful in the role. Our client is open to the person's safety background, focusing more on attitude and fit within this dynamic team. Full training and support will be provided along with clear targets for progression and promotion.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out site inspections and risk assessments.
- Ensure that projects meet H&S and CDM 2015 compliance.
- Compile pre-construction information packs and construction phase plans.
- Oversee design risk registers and attend design risk reviews/team meetings.
- Liaise with the site teams to ensure they are aware of risks/dangers and implement measures to rectify.
- Ensure RAMS are in place and updated regularly.
- Further build existing client relationships and develop new ones.
- Liaise with various stakeholders (architects, contractors, developers, designers, clients) and keep them informed of changes regarding safety.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate/NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
- Good understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations.
- Membership to IOSH or APS is a bonus.
- Previous experience carrying out site inspections and risk assessments (desirable but not essential).
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Full UK driving license.
