Main Objectives

  • Ensure compliance of developments in line with all relevant specifications and statutory requirements
  • Provide technical support to the construction and development teams

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue technical scope of works to consultants and subcontractors in line with programme, scope and fee
  • Ensure drawings are in compliance and up to date with approved planning consent, contract specifications and building regulations
  • Manage all statutory enquiries, including section agreements
  • Monitor and control all production information and communicate with relevant departments in a timely manner
  • Review and action all development drawings, designs and Building Control specifications to ensure compliance and regulations are met in a timely manner
  • Distribute preliminary, construction and as built information to relevant internal departments, requesting feedback to complete high quality design packages
  • Support commercial team to produce trade specifications that comply with relevant standards
  • Develop good working relationships with internal departments, subcontractors and regulatory bodies and conduct regular development visits

Skills knowledge and aptitude

  • Knowledge of development and technical design process for residential schemes
  • Ability to question and query design information
  • Understanding of statutory requirements, Building Regulations and LABC Warranty standards
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Able to manage time, people and processes effectively
  • Good eye for attention to detail

Qualifications & Training – Essential

  • HNC/ Level 4 in a Construction based qualification

Qualifications & Training – Desirable

  • Degree level within a Construction/ Architectural qualification
  • AutoCad

Experience

  • Previous experience within an architectural, site management or engineering role
  • Residential experience within different construction processes (steel, masonry and timber frame)
