Senior Architectural Technician | Leading Housebuilder | Manchester | £55k+P
The Role
The role of Senior Architectural Technician will be to support the Architectural Manager / Head of Technical and the wider business including our Construction, Commercial and Sales teams in the execution of construction projects through ongoing support and timely delivery of accurate architectural and technical information.
- Development & maintenance of divisional details and specifications including production of working pack drawings
- Work alongside external consultants and suppliers to ensure complete design solution delivered in line with company standards
- Support the upkeep of our Drawing Management system
- Support site teams and colleagues with information requests
- Attend and chair (if applicable) site-based meetings / audits as and when required
- Keep up to date with CDM and CPD responsibilities specific to the role
- Maintain up to date with legislation and regulations as well as understanding future regulations that are coming into effect within the industry
- Support the Architectural Manager in managerial issues and reporting where required
- Support, mentor and manage Trainee and Graduate Technicians
Experience
- Experience of working with Autodesk Revit & Auto CAD is desirable
- Extensive experience working at a senior level within the housebuilding industry in a technical / architectural function, running numerous projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of building regulations and current NHBC standards
Qualifications and Training
- Qualified to degree level or HNC/HND in a Construction / Architectural Technology subject with relevant experience
- CSCS card or equivalent
- Current full UK driving licence
