WRG has a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious Assistant H&S/ CDM professional who would like to join an independent construction consultancy that specialises in planning, coordinating and controlling construction and building projects throughout their lifecycle. The business offers a range of professional services to their clients across the built environment (Project Management, Cost Management, Employers Agent and H&S/ CDM). They have a strong work stream within the H&S/ CDM department and would like to appoint an additional Assistant H&S/ CDM Consultant to the team.
I have previously recruited for the business and I know from personal experience that the successful candidate will join a close knit team of CDM/ safety consultants. There is a huge emphasis on training and development across this particular team, the Directors are there to support you every step of the way and with their guidance, ensure you are successful in the role. Our client is open to the person's safety background, and it is more to do with that person's attitude and how well they would fit into this dynamic team. Full training and support would be provided within the role along with clear targets for progression and promotion.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out site inspections and risk assessments.
- Ensure that projects meet H&S and CDM 2015 compliance.
- Compile pre-construction information packs, construction phase plans.
- Oversee design risk registers and attend design risk reviews/ team meetings.
- Liaise with the site teams to ensure they are aware of risks/ dangers and put in place measures to rectify.
- Ensure RAMS are in place and updated on a regular basis.
- Further build existing client relationships and develop new ones.
- Liaise with various stakeholders (architects, contractors, developers, designers, client) and keep them informed of changes regarding safety.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate/ NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
- Previous experience carrying out site inspections and risk assessments (desirable but not essential).
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Full UK driving license.
