We Recruit Group has partnered with an independent construction consultancy who operate across the UK. The business has ambitious growth plans going into 2026 and is looking to appoint an Assistant H&S/CDM Consultant into their Liverpool office. Our client oversees a portfolio of commercial, leisure, retail and mixed-use projects for a diverse client base. They have a strong order book of future work which has given them the confidence to hire a junior member to the team. The role would suit an ambitious and personable H&S professional who is looking to take the next step in their career and join a fast-paced consultancy environment (ideally someone with 0-18 months experience). The business is happy to support with the relevant training courses, and they have an excellent team of safety and CDM professionals who are happy to mentor and help develop younger professionals.

Duties (training will be provided throughout the role):

  • Carry out risk assessments and site inspections/audits when required on projects.
  • Collate Pre-Construction Information packs for each project.
  • Attend project design team meetings and chair design risk workshops to ensure design safety/safety in design.
  • Review Construction Phase Plans received from Principal Contractors.
  • Raise F10 notifications.
  • Obtain, collate and distribute Health & Safety Files.
  • Assist Clients in relation to their CDM obligations and ensure that CDM compliance is met across the project portfolio.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Membership to a professional institute e.g. IOSH, APS, IIRSM (desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Full UK driving license.

Salary in the region of £30,000 - £35,000.
