Role: H&S/ CDM Advisor

Location: Birmingham (projects across the West Midlands)

Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 + car allowance + attractive benefits package

WRG is excited to be once again supporting one of the UKs leading property & construction consultancies who are looking to appoint an ambitious H&S/ CDM professional to their team in Birmingham. Our client has huge growth plans for the year ahead, they have already invested heavily within their H&S/ Compliance team and now requires a competent H&S professional to join their West Midlands office.

The H&S/ CDM Consultant would cover a diverse portfolio of property & construction projects (commercial, residential, healthcare, education, retail, industrial) across the region.

The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary environment where they will be working alongside Building Surveyors, Project Managers and Civil Engineers to offer a H&S/ CDM service to a portfolio of clients, the business supports Architects, Residential developers and Tier One Contractors on these projects to ensure CDM and H&S compliance.

The role would suit an ambitious H&S professional from a consultancy, manufacturing, engineering or contractor background who feels that their progress is currently stalled, our client has a history of excellent career progression and will offer support and training for you to achieve success.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver various H&S services to ensure compliance on construction projects.
  • Ensure that pre-construction information is readily available for each project and is kept up to date.
  • Preparation of health and safety files and construction phase plans where required.
  • Carry out site inspections and ensure that RAMS are in place.
  • Carry out risk assessments and site inspections for project portfolio.
  • Further build and develop existing client relationships and develop new ones.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders (architects, contractors, developers, designers, client) and keep them informed of changes regarding safety.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not required).
  • Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar professional body (desirable).
  • Excellent understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations.
  • Good understanding of BSA and the changes affecting the industry (desirable).
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Full UK driving license.
