WRG is supporting an award winning Project & Cost Management consultancy that operates across the North of England. The business has grown significantly over the last 5 years, they now boast a headcount of over 100 construction professionals, offering a range of services to their clients across the built environment.
The business is looking to appoint a young and ambitious H&S professional to sit within their safety & compliance department (the team is currently 5 strong and they will be there to support and train the new recruit) and ensure that clients projects are compliant with 2015 CDM Regs and H&S legislation. They cover a diverse portfolio of projects across the North of England including; residential, education, healthcare, student accommodation, leisure, commercial, retail, local authority and master planning/ regeneration.
The role would suit someone fresh out of University or College who would like to pursue a career in H&S, or someone that has been working on the tools and would now like to progress their career down a different avenue. Our client would also be interested in speaking with people from the armed forces who would like to get their foot in the door with a leading construction consultancy in the region.
Responsibilities (full training would be provided):
Offer a range of H&S/ CDM services to clients.
Ensure that pre-construction information is readily available for each project and is kept up to date.
Preparation of health and safety files and construction phase plans where required.
Carry out site inspections and ensure that RAMS are in place for each project.
Oversee the design risk register and attend design risk reviews, along with offering input in relation to safety in design.
Requirements:
NEBOSH Construction Certificate or NEBOSH General or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
Previous construction experience is a bonus but not required.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Positive can do attitude.
