WRG is partnering with a well-established risk management organisation based in the South East, which is currently looking to appoint several experienced and competent Fire Risk Assessors to support its growing project portfolio across London and the Home Counties. The business is seeking Tier 2 or Tier 3 Registered Fire Risk Assessors to join its specialist fire safety team. This opportunity would suit a technically confident and capable professional who can independently undertake complex fire risk assessments across a range of medium to higher-risk and non-standard buildings.
In this role, you will play a key part in helping clients meet their statutory obligations under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order, as well as supporting compliance within the evolving Building Safety regime. You will be expected to provide clear, proportionate, and technically robust fire safety advice tailored to each client and asset. The organisation manages a diverse and high-profile portfolio, including residential properties (with Higher-Risk Buildings), as well as commercial, education, healthcare, retail, and leisure sectors. This represents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious fire safety professional to join a respected name in the industry during an exciting period of sustained growth.
Responsibilities
- Undertake Tier 2 and Tier 3 Fire Risk Assessments, including complex and medium to higher-risk premises.
- Assess fire safety measures, compartmentation, means of escape, and active/passive fire protection systems.
- Prepare clear, technically robust fire risk assessment reports with prioritised recommendations.
- Liaise with clients and other stakeholders to schedule appointments and discuss assessment findings.
- Provide fire safety advice and guidance to clients to help them meet their legal requirements.
- Conduct fire safety training sessions for clients and their employees.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in fire safety legislation and industry best practices.
- Attend client meetings as required.
Requirements
- NEBOSH Fire or similar qualification.
- Membership to IFE or IFSM (desirable).
- Proven experience delivering Tier 2 and Tier 3 Fire Risk Assessments independently.
- A recognised fire safety qualification (e.g. Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety or equivalent).
- Registration or working towards registration on an appropriate fire risk assessor scheme.
- Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation, guidance, and relevant British Standards.
- Experience with complex residential, commercial, or mixed-use buildings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage your own workload and client relationships.
