Role: Health & Safety Consultancy (Generalist)

Location: London/ South East, multiple sites

Contract role: Day rate in the region of £350 - £450

We Recruit Group is excited to be partnering with an award-winning risk management consultancy, renowned for its forward-thinking approach and people-first culture. This is a multi-site role suited to a confident, pragmatic H&S professional who is comfortable working independently, engaging with stakeholders and providing practical health and safety support across non-construction environments.

You will be responsible for providing day-to-day health and safety consultancy support across a number of operational sites, helping to ensure safe working practices, compliance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
  • Reviewing and updating health and safety policies, procedures and documentation.
  • Supporting site teams with practical H&S advice and guidance.
  • Identifying hazards, non-compliance and areas for improvement.
  • Producing clear reports with recommendations and action plans.
  • Supporting incident investigations where required.
  • Engaging with managers and operational teams to promote a positive safety culture.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety legislation.
About You:

The successful consultant will ideally have:

  • Proven experience in a health and safety consultancy or advisory role.
  • Experience working across multiple sites.
  • Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
  • A practical, hands-on and solutions-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent as a minimum.
  • Membership to IOSH.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across London and the South East.

This role would suit someone with experience across sectors such as facilities management, commercial premises, education, healthcare, retail, leisure, public sector or other non-construction environments.
