Location: Remote working - West Midlands, projects based in Birmingham & Coventry
Salary: Up to £45,000 + £5,500 car allowance + benefits package

WRG is supporting one of the UK’s leading health, safety and environmental consultancies that works with businesses across construction, housing, and related sectors. They work in partnership with their clients to help them achieve compliance, improve safety standards, and foster positive safety cultures.
Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to join their team in the West Midlands, delivering high-quality site inspections and practical safety advice across a varied client portfolio.
As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will carry out regular site inspections and audits, providing clear, pragmatic advice to help clients meet their health and safety obligations. This is a client-facing role requiring strong communication skills and a hands-on approach to construction health and safety. The role would suit an experienced and competent H&S professional from a consultancy or contractor background who feels that their progress is currently stalled; our client has a history of excellent career progression and will offer support and training for you to achieve success.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver various H&S services to ensure compliance on construction projects.
- Carry out health & safety site inspections across construction and refurbishment projects.
- Identify hazards, assess risks, and provide practical recommendations for improvement.
- Produce clear, concise inspection reports and follow-up actions.
- Advise clients on compliance with health & safety legislation, including CDM Regulations.
- Support clients with method statements, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
- Build strong working relationships with site teams and client representatives.
- Promote best practice and continuous improvement in health & safety performance.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not required).
- Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar professional body (desirable).
- Excellent understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations and UK health & safety legislation.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills - confident communicator, able to engage effectively with site-based teams.
- Well organised with the ability to manage a varied workload.
- Full UK driving license.
