Freelance Quantity Surveyor Required. We Recruit Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist contractor operating within the façades, cladding remediation and fire safety sector. Due to continued project wins across South Wales and the South West, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a long-term contract.
The Role
Working alongside the Commercial Manager and operational teams, you'll take commercial responsibility for a portfolio of façade and remediation projects from pre-construction through to final account. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing subcontractor procurement and commercial packages
- Preparing valuations and applications for payment
- Cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow management
- Valuing variations and managing change control
- Contract administration (JCT)
- Producing monthly CVRs
- Negotiating final accounts
- Supporting project delivery while managing commercial risk
About You
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
- Experience in façade, cladding, remediation, roofing, external envelope or fire safety projects is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of JCT forms of contract
- Excellent commercial and contractual awareness
- Able to manage multiple projects and work independently
- Available to start immediately or at short notice
