Location: Cardiff (projects across Wales/ South West)

WRG is supporting an independent H&S, CDM and Compliance Consultancy who are looking to appoint an ambitious CDM/ Principal Designer professional to their team in South Wales. Our client has ambitious plans for the year ahead and a strong order book of projects, they have already invested heavily within their H&S/ Compliance team and now requires a competent CDM professional to join the team.
The CDM Consultant would cover a diverse portfolio of property & construction projects (commercial, residential, healthcare, education, retail, industrial) across Wales and the South West. The role would suit an experienced and competent CDM professional from a consultancy or contractor background who feels that their progress is currently stalled, our client has a history of excellent career progression and will offer support and training for you to achieve success.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver various H&S services to ensure compliance on construction projects.
- Ensure that pre-construction information is readily available for each project and is kept up to date.
- Preparation of health and safety files and construction phase plans where required.
- Carry out site inspections and ensure that RAMS are in place.
- Carry out risk assessments and site inspections for project portfolio.
- Further build and develop existing client relationships and develop new ones.
- Liaise with various stakeholders (architects, contractors, developers, designers, client) and keep them informed of changes regarding safety.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not required).
- Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar professional body (desirable).
- Excellent understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations.
- Good understanding of BSA and the changes affecting the industry (desirable).
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Full UK driving license.
