An established residential developer is looking to recruit an experienced Buyer to join their commercial team on an initial six-month fixed-term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction buyer with a strong background in housebuilding materials procurement to join a busy and well-established business.
You ll play a key role in ensuring materials and plant are procured efficiently, cost-effectively and in line with build programmes.
The Role Reporting into the Commercial team, your responsibilities will include: * Procuring materials and plant to meet build programme requirements. * Negotiating competitive prices, terms and rebate agreements with suppliers. * Developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships. * Preparing material take-offs, schedules and purchase orders. * Obtaining and analysing quotations, ensuring best value is achieved. * Monitoring market trends, material pricing and availability. * Identifying value engineering opportunities without compromising quality. * Working closely with site teams to coordinate deliveries. * Managing supplier queries and resolving invoice issues. * Attending site meetings where required. * Supporting commercial performance through effective procurement strategies.
