WRG has a truly brilliant opportunity for a young and ambitious H&S professional who would like to join one of the UK’s leading property & construction consultancies. The business is often ranked within the top 20 construction consultancies to work for in the country, and their H&S team is one of the leading departments across the business, boasting a headcount of over 35 safety, risk and compliance professionals.
The Birmingham team (currently at 5 and looking to add number 6) focuses on a varied portfolio of education, university, life sciences, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, industrial logistics and sport stadia throughout the region. Our client is open to the person's safety background, and it is more to do with that person's attitude and how well they would fit into this dynamic team. Full training and support would be provided within the role along with clear targets for progression and promotion.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out site inspections and risk assessments.
- Ensure that projects meet H&S and CDM 2015 compliance.
- Compile pre-construction information packs, construction phase plans.
- Oversee design risk registers and attend design risk reviews/team meetings.
- Liaise with the site teams to ensure they are aware of risks/dangers and put in place measures to rectify.
- Ensure RAMS are in place and updated on a regular basis.
- Further build existing client relationships and develop new ones.
- Liaise with various stakeholders (architects, contractors, developers, designers, client) and keep them informed of changes regarding safety.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate/NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
- Good understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations.
- Previous experience carrying out site inspections and risk assessments (desirable but not essential).
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Full UK driving license.
