Role overview:

  • Producing cost effective technical information regarding sewer adoptions (S104, S106) whilst overcoming specific issues and finding efficient solutions for the region to maintain building.
  • Liaising closely with the Local Authorities regarding technical information for road adoptions (S38 and S278) and manage this effectively to maintain the company's interest at all times.
  • Ensure the processing of all road and sewer adoption agreements are in time and accurate to maintain the region's level of compliance and responsibility.
  • Managing the transfer of open spaces, play areas etc. to Management Companies is swift and accurate and in line with company policy to enhance and build partnered relationships.
  • Ensuring the co-ordination and management of ongoing maintenance issues and remedial works prior to adoption or handover is dealt with professionally and to the highest standards whilst protecting the business interests.
  • On occasion to deputise for the Senior Adoptions Engineer to provide support and assistance to the team.

Ideally you will have:

  • HNC/HND qualified (or studying towards) in an Engineering Related Qualification.
  • Previous experience as an Adoptions Engineer or with a Highways or Drainage Authority.
  • Competent in AutoCAD, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel packages.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills.
  • An eye for detail and be able to work on their own initiative as well as being a committed team player.
