We Power Your Car is an Electric Vehicle (EV) charger, full-service supply and installation company based in Yorkshire but operating nationally. As the experts in EV charging, we can assist with every step of sorting an EV charging solution, whether it be for the domestic or commercial market. We’re a rapidly expanding business in an exciting industry, and we’re looking for new team members to join us on our journey.

General job description:

  • Installation of new circuits to supply EV charging points in commercial and domestic settings complying with BS7671 18th edition.
  • Initial Verification of Electrical Installations and completion of Electrical Installation Certificates and Minor Works Certificates.
  • Diagnose and repair issues with existing EV Charging Installations in both Commercial and Domestic settings and fill out the relevant paperwork necessary afterwards.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and testing on EV Charging circuits in both Commercial and Domestic Setting and ensure installations are to manufacturer standards.
  • Conduct site surveys to establish cable routes for installation methods for new EV Charging circuits in both Commercial and Domestic settings.
  • Ensure good quality of workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building regulations, and follows the company’s safety requirements.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Qualifications required: 18th Edition NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent C&G Level 2 & 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent C&G 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent (preferable but not essential) EV Charging 2919 (preferable but not essential).
  • The ideal candidate would:
    • Provide exceptional customer service.
    • Have high standards when carrying out installation work.
    • Be able to work individually or as part of a team.
    • Have previous EV Installation experience (preferable but not essential).
    • Be able to communicate effectively with management and the office-based support team.
