Are you an experienced and motivated professional with a strong background in financial assessment, charging and income recovery in Adult Social Care finance?

We are looking for a motivated Senior Officer to support the delivery of an efficient, accurate and customer-focused Financial Assessment and Charging service within Adult Social Care.

You will help manage team workloads, provide day-to-day supervision and support to staff, oversee financial and client contribution processes, and ensure strong quality assurance and governance across the service. You will play a key role in developing team performance, contribute to staff training and development and ensuring workloads are effectively prioritised to meet service demands.

You will bring experience in social care finance, financial assessments, charging and income recovery, along with strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

About you

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of working in an Adult Social Care financial assessment and debt environment for residential and community care.
  • Experience in line management of resources within an Adult Social Care finance setting.
  • Experience of allocating and monitoring workloads to ensure service targets and deadlines are achieved.
  • Working knowledge and experience of engaging with customers in Adult Social Care finance administration.
  • Excellent IT skills, with the ability to work across multiple information systems and manipulate data with confidence.
  • The ability to provide guidance and support to staff while maintaining high levels of accuracy and performance.
  • Be confident in making critical decisions.
  • Have the ability to work with minimal supervision, work to deadlines, and prioritise workloads.

Post holder will have a hybrid of office, remote and home working.
