Teaching Assistants
Alveston CofE Primary School are seeking two wonderful Teaching Assistants (TA) to join our successful, friendly community. We are looking for a General TA to work every morning Monday to Friday and to cover lunch supervision, for a total of 22.5 hours per week in Year 2, and a SEND Support TA for a child in EYFS.
We would love to attract an experienced TA to the Alveston family, however if that’s not you – don’t despair! What is important to us is the right people. You may be fully qualified and experienced, not qualified yet, or you may be drawn to the role, but have not started to train. Wherever you are in your career, we would welcome applications from nurturing, caring, positive people, who share our vision and values and strive to safeguard the welfare of our children. Salary will depend on experience. The position if vacant now, so the successful candidate will start as soon as they are able.

- Be nurturing, patient and empathic with children whilst able to maintain consistent and clear boundaries
- Demonstrate a strong ability to use their own initiative, build good relationships with pupils and establish positive behaviours for learning
- Be proactive with support, enthusiastic and imaginative
- Possess strong numeracy and literacy skills
- Have high expectations of children’s achievements and behaviour
- Have a friendly and professional nature with children and adults
