Actual Salary: £11,278

Temporary position until 31^st August 2026

20 hours a week

Working 1.00pm – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, term time plus inset days

St Leonard’s First School and Nursery, Dunston, is looking for someone to join our hard-working, tight knit team! We wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning in our school. We are looking to appoint an inspirational and highly effective Teaching Assistant who is committed to supporting provision to be of the highest standard.

The role will be to provide support within the classroom (mainly KS2), working alongside the class teacher. This will largely be 1:1 and small group support. Following this you would be supporting children who attend the after school club with activities that you have planned and supervising children until parents and carers collect. This post will be required Monday to Friday, term time only: 1.00pm – 5.00 pm. A full job description is enclosed detailing required qualifications for the role.

This position may be taken in conjunction with an existing posit in school, hours would be amended to reflect this.
