Hours - 37 per week

Fixed term contract until August 2027 - Hybrid working

A vacancy has arisen for a Service Support Assistant. The role is to support front line practitioners with all aspects of administration and includes call handling, message taking, support with booking and minuting of meetings.

We are looking for exceptional candidates who are passionate, committed and dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people.

The successful candidate must be IT literate, have good communication and telephone skills, good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise their own workload. Also be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Admin tasks will include:

  • Setting up Family meetings.
  • Completing finance tasks – such as ordering items for the practitioner/or the family.
  • Ensuring accuracy and consistency of information.
  • Updating Children's Social Care systems.
  • Taking and producing of accurate minutes.
  • Maintaining files and record systems including scanning and uploading of documents.
  • Ensuring that tasks allocated are completed accurately and within allocated timescale.

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Be able to demonstrate previous experience of working in a business admin role.
  • Will hold NVQ Level 1 in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office packages.
  • Experience of finance and procurement would be an advantage.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and good attention to detail.
  • Have the ability to plan & organise diaries.
