Sandwell Children’s Trust are currently recruiting for a Receptionist.
We are looking to appoint an outstanding individual with excellent communication skills both face to face and over the telephone. You must be able to deal with people sensitively and professionally at all times, with the customer’s best interests your priority, taking responsibility, where possible, to resolve queries and requests.
As a Receptionist working in the Trust you will: -
- Be working as part of a team to provide first line contact with our children, young people and other visitors to the building.
- Be answering incoming telephone calls, directing callers to the appropriate departments, and taking accurate messages.
- The role will also involve room bookings, handling incoming and outgoing mail and managing shared mailboxes.
- You will also be responsible for premise management duties and supporting with the maintenance and Health & Safety aspects of the building.
What you need to be successful in this role:
- Previous experience of working in a busy office.
- Hold GCSE Maths & English or equivalent.
- You need to be IT literate with experience of using Microsoft Office packages.
- You must be able to work in a challenging environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Have good communication skills, both written and verbal and excellent telephone skills. Good organisational skills.
- Have the ability to prioritise workloads and competing priorities.
- Be able to work independently using your own initiative.
