There is an exciting opportunity to join theOlder People’s Commissioning Team who manage a large and complex portfolio ofcommissioned services.

The services include:

  • Reablement services
  • Extra Care Housing
  • Domiciliary Care
  • Residential and Nursing Care
  • Enhanced Assessment Beds
  • Wrap Around Care

These services are critical to supporting vulnerable older people, maintaining market stability, and enabling hospital flow and admission avoidance.

The post holder will be responsible for performance managing a portfolio of commissioned services in partnership with Commissioners. This will involve collecting, auditing, verifying, analysing and presenting performance data, including complex and sensitive information, from a wide range of service providers across the public, private and voluntary sectors.

The role will involve assessing the quality and effectiveness of service provision against service specifications, contractual terms and conditions, and relevant national statutory standards, including those set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The post holder will provide recommendations to Commissioners on areas requiring improvement or further action.

Working collaboratively with key partners, the post holder will develop and implement processes to support brokerage queries, individual placement rates, invoicing issues, and care management activities as required.

The post holder will also play a key role in supporting the commissioning, sourcing and procurement of services, as well as contributing to market development initiatives across the Division to ensure high-quality, sustainable service provision.

Essential Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent in Business Studies or other relevant area.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience of supporting procurement and collecting performance and financial information against contractual requirements.
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience of working within or monitoring adult and/or children’s social care services.
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience of working with organisations from a range of disciplines across public, private and voluntary sector.

Additional information:

  • AnEnhanced DBS Check is required for this role.
  • This role operates under a hybrid working arrangement, with 3 days based in the office and 2 days working from home.
  • This is a full-time role, working 37 hours a week.
