Job Description:
Facilities Services Officer – Corpus Christi Catholic Primary School
Contract Type: Full time, full year contract
Reporting to: Academy Deputy Facilities Manager
Core Purpose: Under the instruction/guidance of the Deputy Facilities Manager, provide maintenance and security services on the Academy sites and premises. You will be based at Corpus Christi Catholic Primary School in Coventry but will be required to work at all nearby sites.
You will be responsible for providing a wide range of services to ensure a safe, clean, warm, and secure environment for all authorized users of the Academy and visitors, on a late shift pattern.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Locking/unlocking Academy buildings and areas.
- Conducting regular security checks and identifying security risks.
- Monitoring fire safety equipment and conducting fire alarm testing.
- Operating and responding to alarm systems where appropriate.
- Performing repairs such as redecorating and fixing issues.
- Carrying out minor repairs, including plumbing, changing light bulbs, and unblocking drains.
- Organizing and executing maintenance duties to ensure premises upkeep.
- Undertaking minor improvement work, such as erecting shelves, notice boards, and bookshelves.
